The city of Folsom is hosting a cooling center at City Hall (50 E Natoma St, Folsom) for people who have nowhere else to go to get out of the heat. They need our help in two ways.

Volunteers for Tuesday, 8/25, from 12-7PM:

• 2 volunteers for 12-4PM shift
• 2 volunteers for 4-7PM shift

Volunteers will be responsible for greeting people as they arrive. They will be given instructions by the staff/medical professionals who will remain onsite throughout the day. Masks must be worn the entire time and social distancing is being practiced at the center. Wi-fi is available onsite, so you can stay connected to work or other commitments while you volunteer.

Donations:

They would like us to provide snacks for the people at the cooling center (around 10 people). You can drop off items at Disciples Church on Sunday, 8/23, from 8-11am or on Monday, 8/24, from 10am-1pm. Suggested items:

• string cheese
• gatorade
