Stop, Pop, & Go Food Drive
May 9 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Folsom community comes together in times of crisis. Measures taken to slow the spread of COVID-19 have resulted in hardships for many individuals and families. The Twin Lakes Food Bank has served twice the regular number of households and is experiencing a critical food shortage of nonperishable goods. Families, seniors, and those deeply affected by this emergency in our community need your help.
Please join Disciples Church in supporting the Twin Lakes Food Bank in providing food and other necessities. Donate non-perishable, unexpired food at a Stop, Pop, and Go Drive-Thru Food Drive on Saturday, May 9th, from 9am-1pm at Disciples Church: 281 Iron Point Road, Folsom.
On May 9th we will set up a “drive-thru” donation drop-off in the Disciples Church parking lot. When you arrive to donate food, you should not get out of your vehicle when donating food, but rather:
STOP: At the location with food already placed in the vehicle’s trunk
POP: Pop-open the vehicle’s trunk so the volunteer can take the donated items
GO: Once the items are removed, proceed on your way with our gratitude
Top items needed:
- Canned tuna and chicken
- Canned ravioli and chili
- Tomato products
- Pasta sauce
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruit and vegetables
- Nutrition supplement drinks (Ensure)
Cash donations are also welcome by visiting www.twinlakesfoodbank.org or mailing a check to the Twin Lakes Food Bank at 327 Montrose Drive, Folsom CA, 95630.
Check your pantry for items that can be spared or pick up additional items to help your neighbors when you’re already at the grocery store shopping for essential items. Please do not make a special non-essential trip to the store.
