Making SPACE

Searching – My Unique Kingdom Contribution

Prayer and Fasting

Attentive to God

Commitment to Scripture

Experiences in Your Neighborhood

You have been created in God’s Image and like Adam and Eve before you, he has entrusted you with part of his creation to steward, govern, and bless! Like Abraham, you are blessed to be a blessing! And like Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, you are God’s masterpiece created in Christ Jesus for good work!

We are kicking off a 6-week church-wide initiative designed to help you find your unique personal Kingdom contribution, pray, sharpen attentiveness to God’s voice, dive into scripture, and experience your neighborhood like never before! It’s called, Making Space, and it could change your life, the lives you’re called to impact, and the life of our church.

Below you will find some resources to help you engage on this journey – a prayer guide, daily devotionals, and an invitation to commit to engage.

Making Space Resources

You will find five weeks of daily devotional content for Monday-Friday, which includes prompts to READ scripture, REFLECT through devotional content written by leaders in the church, and RESPOND with personal action. Click on the link below to download our Devotional booklet.

Prayer Guide

The Prayer Guide provides weekly prayer prompts. We encourage you to pray each prayer daily over the course of the week as a reminder to make space for God to work throughout your day. Click on the link below to download the Prayer Guide.

Making Space Commitments

Consider making the following commitments during this journey:

  • I will take part in the Daily Devotionals.
  • I will use the Prayer Guide.
  • I will fast on Tuesdays.
  • I will try one suggested experience each week.
  • I will arrive on Sundays willing to share where God used me as a missionary this week if God prompts me to do so.

Experiences in Your Neighborhood

Sometimes it can be overwhelming to think about all the needs in our community. Maybe you want to get involved, but you just don’t know where to start. There are many organizations in our community that are doing wonderful work and volunteering for one might be your way of bringing the love of Jesus to others. Katie Pope has compiled a list of local organizations looking for volunteers. If you’re looking for a way to get involved you can click on the link below to download the list.

Do you know a local organization that needs volunteers that isn’t included on our list? Email the information to our Operations Director, Michelle Nation, at michelle@disciples.church.
